Journey on the road called life

prayer

If there’s one thing I learned as I was growing up, it’s that the only thing certain in life is change. Life can be pretty much compared to a winding road, with its twists and turns. The driver behind the wheel hardly knows what’s in store around the bend. Even with headlights turned on full blast on a dark night, you can’t really guess what lies ahead.

With the uncertainty of the future, we are only human to want to secure ourselves as much as we can. Car owners relentlessly surf websites for car insurance rates to look for the best deals at insuring their vehicles. Parents ask around for the best life insurance package to take care of the future of their kids. But of course, we can only do so much to prepare ourselves for the future.

Life is replete with suffering and tests of faith. Everyday, we go through experiences and trials which test the boundaries of our steadfastness and belief that everything is going to get better. If we nurture strength of spirit within us, we become more headstrong in taking on whatever challenges life may hurl at us.

I always find myself worrying about the future, especially the welfare of my family. Whenever I find trials staring me straight in the face, I simply turn to God, because at the end of the day, that’s all we can really do. And He has never failed to be my constant companion on this journey called life.
