How do you celebrate Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is the only “official” day I know when we make our mothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, friends and ourselves (if we’re already a mom) feel special. We give gifts and do something out of the ordinary to proclaim that their role as a mom is recognized.

This year, the occasion falls on a weekend, so most families celebrated the occasion dining in their favorite restaurant. On my part, we only spend the day at home. The kids and my husband greeted me first thing in the morning. I didn’t receive anything this year. It’s understandable because we are raising money for the kids’ enrollment.

How about you? Did you get flowers or a hand-made card from your sweet kids? It doesn’t matter whichever way you celebrate Mother’s Day, for as long as you are happy, everyone is in the pink of health, and you can still do something good for other people.
