Save gas, do your shopping online

Are you familiar with green shopping? It’s my first time to hear about it either. But I was amazed at how this concept works. It saves consumers time and money and do something good for the environment in the process.

It works like this, if you make your shopping online you’ll consume less energy and reduced carbon dioxide emission by 35 percent for not using your car driving to and from the stores. Sounds a good idea for busy mommies like us, right? We don’t have to leave our homes during the busy weekdays to do our shopping, but wait for our goods to be delivered right at our doorsteps.

I have tried online shopping for apparel, shoes and some gadgets in the past months and boy, I paid costly delivery charges on them. This time, I would like to try shopping at musiciansfriend.com because aside from the lowest prices and free delivery on electronics and affordable bass with an active preamp, I would still feel good knowing that I contributed something for the environment like make the air we breath a little cleaner.

Pamper yourself once in a while

I often wish I could splurge a bit for myself or that a benefactor would grant my wish of a makeover. But since my wish is far from being realized, I decided to just create a wish list of personal effects that I would like to purchase in the future. The list includes a pair of Capri pants from Zalora, a casual blouse and a shirt, ballet flats, and a pair of rubber shoes.

wish list

I haven’t updated my wardrobe since I gained weight last year, so an additional top wouldn’t hurt the already tight budget if ever. Also, I badly need a pair of new flats to go with the casual blouse. I’m carefully picking up the items listed on my wish list so as not to irk the husband. But the ever supportive hubby said its okay to pamper myself once in a while. He knows I won’t be spending his money but the GCs I’ll be getting from a writing gig, thus the wise remark.
