No classes today. Many schools along Commonwealth Avenue suspended classes today, including where my kids are going, in time for the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III at the joint session of the 15th Congress this year.
What are we expecting of P.Noy’s Sona? We expect him to announce his legislative agenda and the present status of the country’s economy. We will know how much money left for the current government to use and support the President’s economic plans for the betterment of the country. I’ll surely watch and intently listen to what P-Noy has to say this afternoon while sipping a hot creamy coffee using my custom travel mugs. Did I say mugs? I’ll try to mix more than one mug for me because after SONA, I’ll be watching the news program that will sum up today’s events and all the other happenings in and out of Congress during SONA.
