Last February I consulted our doctor about my swelling feet. At first, I thought it was something serious like I might be afflicted with kidney disease. But the doctor ruled out any serious condition after seeing the result of my blood examination. I was given some vitamins and medicine to reduce the swelling of my feet. After that the doctor recommends water retemtion remedies which include cutting back on salt because it contributes to fluid retention; drink plenty of water; put my feet up; use support stockings; exercise regularly; avoid standing in place for long period of time; lose excess weight; and increase muscle activity with walking.
The swelling subsides with the help of the medicine. I did cut down on salty food and add my water intake. But I have yet to lose weight or even start an exercise regimen… Some habits are hard to break.
